Morning everyone!
It’s day 9 of the decluttering challenge and todays topic is, the junk drawer.
Now the main reason junk drawers exist is to catch the things that don’t really have a home. It’s not like your other drawers, where you always tuck away the same 8 forks, 8 knives and 8 spoons. The junk drawer needs to be flexible enough for batteries, pens, posts it and the occasional set of keys.
First step is to empty all the contents out of your drawer and think about what useful items would work back inside this space. Now it’s time to sort, purge and collate all the similar items into piles. Before placing your organised JUNK back inside the drawer, I highly recommend you either purchase a drawer insert or alternatively reuse some household items like ferrero rocher containers, clear ice cream tubs or used clear candle glass jars to keep your items neat, tidy and organised.
Grab yourself a gadget tray like this one from made smart . These trays come in a variety of colours and sizes, plus are perfect for all your essential go to items that deserve space to stretch and be seen. I purchased mine from homesense where they have a fabulous range on offer.
Happy decluttering!
